Soon the first big update of Anthem, called Cataclysm, will be released. The details of the event were presented last night by Ben Irving and Jesse Anderson within a half-hour live show.
It is planned that Cataclysm will be a periodic event and will cover a total of 8 weeks: the “pre-event” will last for 2 weeks, which will be an introduction to the 6-week high season. The plot continues, and we’re going to get 3 new story missions. In addition, we can get our hands on new weapons and upgrades. In fact, you will be able to visit a completely new open area where the essential part of the event will be played.
We still do not know when the Cataclysm event will begin, but it is sure that PC players will be the first to try out the new Anthem content. Bioware will run periodic test phases before the actual release.
Ben Irving also stated that player feedback will play an important role in the development of the Cataclysm event.
