Albion Online Gets A Release Date
Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG that has a player-driven economy, a classless combat system, and brutal PvP battles. When the title first appeared, it had quite a lot of players, but over time, the developers decided to take another route and changed the game which made a lot of players quit. Now that the game got a release date, which is May 16th, we may actually see more players try out this sandbox MMORPG.
A lot of players say that the title is a ghost town, but maybe that will change when Albion Online officially launches. There aren’t a lot of sandbox MMORPGs out there, especially not many good ones, so if this one manages to be solid, it will certainly attract lots of new players. The Steam version of the game is coming with your standard Steam features, and yes, we are talking about achievements. The native Albion Online client will also have all of these achievements, which is quite surprising but also quite a pleasant surprise.
And in order to pull back old players, the celebration of the Steam launch will be accompanied by a week-long Fame boost. Killing stuff, crafting things, and other activities will all give you 25% more Fame, starting on May 16th and ending on May 22nd, so this is your motivation to get as much stuff done as humanly possible before this boost runs out!
