No matter how you look at it, Agony is a title that is going to change the way we typically see Hell in video games. I, for once, am absolutely excited to see what the game will look like when I play it, but we’ve been given more than enough information about the hellish land that we will have to explore, filled with crimson seas of blood, mangled corpses everywhere, and all kinds of demons, both ugly and seductive. A brand new story trailer got released for Agony, and now we get to have a better look at the devilishly gorgeous Red Goddess, who appears to be our only way out of the fiery pit.
Forget about your regular environments that are set in Hell. Agony really looks like a fiery nightmare filled with creatures that will either try to kill you and eat you, or seduce you and then kill you. Yeah, that is basically what Hell should feel like, and the grim lighting effects and the design of the creatures really amp the whole vibe of the game. Finally, we also got to look at the Red Goddess, who is a seductive, yet cruel mistress that should help us find a way out of this place.
Can you trust this lady that feeds monsters with babies? Probably not, but you don’t have a lot of chances here, and this is the best you got. Agony is coming out on May 29th, and I can’t wait to try this title out and explore its wonderful demonic landscape.
