Agents of Mayhem is all about destruction, fighting evil, and causing destruction while fighting evil. Make no mistake, the characters you play as in the game are not heroes, they’re more like bad guys you can actually root for going against other bad guys you don’t mind killing. See the difference? Anyway, the team at Volition have always had an idea for characters, as they’ve proven with their Saints Row series, but this title is about cranking it up to 11, and the latest trio of characters prove that’s exactly what’s happening.
The game has been introducing characters in sets of three and designating them in certain ways. The latest group is the CARNAGE A TROIS, a group that loves kicking the butts, faces, and other body parts of the evil organization known as LEGION. But as the narrator happily notes, they take this pleasure to extreme levels, and that’s fine by them.
Don’t think these are just shell characters though, they have backstory. Braddock was a Marine Corps sergeant who trained many of the grunts that got recruited by Legion. This lead her to joining MAYHEM in order to get a little payback.
Yeti was a part of a secret Russian military project to create soldiers to fight LEGION. After he survived their experiments, he obtained ice powers, broke out of the facility, and joined MAYHEM in their good fight.
Finally, Daisy is a roller derby star turned heavy weapons expert. With her pride and joy, her minigun, she’s able to mow down enemies in the blink of an eye, if not faster. She’s tough, and she’ll help your team if she’s on it.
Agents of Mayhem is set for release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on August 15th. So pick your agent, and raise as much mayhem as you can, the fate of the world depends on it.
