Activision Teases Future Crash Bandicoot Games
After a long absence, everyone’s favorite bandicoot is back in the limelight. In fact, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy has landed a place at the top of the UK charts in sales.
The remastered package has without a doubt enjoyed some success since its release, which features updated versions of the first three games with Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. So what does this mean going forward for Crash?
According to Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg, we could see more in the future for Crash, claiming that they are currently experimenting with the series at this moment in time.
“We know there’s a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community,” Hirshberg stated. “So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things.”
Hopefully this means that we will see something new from the franchise going forward. Given its heavily requested return and popularity in sales, it would be a smart guess that we see a brand new Crash Bandicoot game at some point. On what platform or in what form remains to be seen, but the passion for Crash is no doubt a hot topic right now.
