The second Overwatch anniversary is almost upon us, and so among all of these skin teases that we are getting, we also got a closer look at the new upcoming map. The new Petra map is really amazing, as we can see from the new YouTube video. It seems like a forgotten city in the desert, and the beauty of the map is exactly focused on that, the look of a place that hasn’t been visited in quite a long time, until now of course. The Petra map also features something quite spectacular, and that is destructible terrain, at least a part of it, which was also shown in the video.
We have mazes in caverns, open areas where you can look at the surrounding area, and there are many chokepoints where you will definitely get into a lot of hectic fights. The buildings and the walls and the paintings on the walls that we can see in the video all look absolutely spectacular, but we didn’t expect anything less from Blizzard, which always manages to impress when it comes to Overwatch content. We also have to remember that this is all coming as a way of celebrating the game’s second anniversary, which is going to be a huge event.
