We talked about when the Inferno DLC got announced for Endless Legend, and now we got a trailer. Inferno brings a brand new faction to the game called Kapaku, which left their original volcanic home planet and have now found refuge on Auriga.
The Kapaku are used to volcanic terrain which got introduced in this DLC as well. When they are on volcanic tiles they get strong unit buffs and gain production perks. As you can imagine, if they have access to a lot of these perks they can amass a powerful army fairly quickly. Even though this type of terrain is rare and the Kapaku need it, they can use “Lavaformation” which turns any terrain into Volcanic Tiles for the rest of the game.
So, what is this new Lava Terrain that is coming to the game? Well, as many of us can imagine, this sort of terrain in Endless Legend probably isn’t too hospitable, but when it comes to dust, industry, and science, it’s really important. It can be used to turn small cities into enormous production centers, so learn to take advantage of these lands instead of fearing and avoiding them. You also want to be on the lookout for “Volcanic Anomalies”, which will definitely attract attention from all nearby factions.
The Kapaku are an interesting new Faction, so if you’re eager to try them you need to wait until August 2nd for the Inferno DLC to get released.
