As we all already knew, Gigantic wasn’t doing that hot back in 2017. The game is shutting down, but the developers are giving the fans one last sendoff party tomorrow, so tune in if you have the spare time.
Seeing a game die always makes us sad, especially when we see something as charming and fun as Gigantic. This was a PvP game where two teams clashed against each other and each of them had these enormous Guardians which fought with each other as well. Overall, the gameplay of this game felt both ordinary and special enough to be different from the others, so it’s strange that no one actually played it.
Tomorrow, you will be able to tune in to the official GoGigantic Twitch channel which will be hosting a farewell event. It’s good to see that the developers want to send their game off with love and also give some of that love to the fans that stuck until the end. At 3:00 PM PT(6 ET), we will get to see all of the content that never managed to reach the live servers, which means that you can expect to see unreleased concepts for Heroes, creatures, skins, and more.
That’s pretty cool, but that’s not all. The developers of Gigantic will also give out a small amount of Gigantic-themed goodies to some lucky viewers so that they can carry on the memory of Gigantic in physical form.
Your favorite Gigantic streamers will be live at 9:00 am PT (noon ET) and they will be playing live matches and having fun. A Q&A session will come later, so be sure to visit the farewell stream and enjoy the game for a little while more. The servers go offline next week on July 31st.
