The Walking Dead franchise was already a major hit with readers and viewers of the TV show. But then, TellTale Games took that love to a new level with their video game franchise based on the world. They made original characters and told new stories, with their true main character being a young girl named Clementine, who quickly became one of video games most popular characters in recent memory. And now, the first two seasons of the game may be coming to the Nintendo Switch if certain advertisements are to be believed.
For according to some listings online, Season 01 and Season 02 of The Walking Dead are coming to the Switch, which would make sense when you line it up with what is coming out later this year. The games have been teased for the Switch in the past, but the listing is the first real clue that proves that this may actually be happening.
As noted above, this is significant, as the final season of The Walking Dead game series, or at the very least, the final chapter of Clementine’s story, will be releasing later this year. What’s more, that season has already been confirmed for Switch. Thus sparking the rumors that the first three seasons will be coming to Switch as well.
It should be noted though that at the time of this posting, there have been no listings found for Season 03 of Walking Dead on Switch. This could mean that this season, which only featured Clementine in a smaller role, may not be coming to the console, or, that a listing for it just hasn’t been found of yet.
Either way, there’s no doubt that many hope to get the seasons on Switch before Season 4’s release. The final season does not have a release date yet, but one is expected soon.
