Digging through data so that we can get more information about upcoming content is what we as a community are all about. Why wait for the developers to give us more information when we can look for it ourselves? Some Destiny 2 players did just that, and they uncovered a list of weapons that are tied to the Armsweek event, which is coming when the Update 1.2.3. hits the live servers on July 17th. There’s still time before this event arrives, and we also know that we are getting new Prestige versions of Raid Lairs as well as some changes to Crucible.
Everyone is excited to try out the new Prestige versions of Raid Lairs in Destiny 2, and they should be, we all welcome a challenge. Of course, we also like to get rewarded for completing said challenges. Naturally, this Armsweek event is going to be the thing that gives us sweet loot for killing enemies, and the Exotic catalysts for Hard Light, Rat King, SUROS Regime, The Prospector, and Fighting Lion are all connected to your kill counts while the event takes place. So, it’s simple, kill a lot of things, and get awarded for it.
The database which was explored by u/aussie_halo, who was featured in a PCGamesN article, also noted that the catalysts for Sleeper Simulant, Legend of Acrius, and Telesto are discovered when you complete the new Prestige Raid Lairs, so we will have a lot of work to do once this update goes live.
