Sony’s EU Head Believes PS4 Has The “Best Lineup Ever” This Year
It’s been a few weeks since E3 2018, and people are still reacting to all that was shown, and all that wasn’t shown. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo did their best to win over the crowds at E3 and at home, and not so ironically, they all had different ways of showing off what’s coming. For Sony, they focused on four key PS4 games, and showed in-depth demos of them to give even more in-game insights on what they will be getting to play.
The lineup that was shown seemed to really impress Sony Europe boss Michael Denny, for he sat down with Game Reactor and noted:
“When you look at our current releases and our upcoming releases, I truly believe that we now have not only the best lineup ever, but the broadest lineup ever of games,” Denny said. “We do want to be inclusive, we do want to offer games for all our players. Of course, the core triple-A titles will always be there but doing things like PlayLink is important to us as well in terms of maybe having something there for the friends and family of our core PlayStation audience. Games that can truly appeal to a more mass market.”
He’s not wrong that Sony and the PS4 has been doing very well in 2018. Between 3rd party and 1st party titles they’re really cleaning up. They’ve already had major hits like God of War and Shadow of the Colossus Remastered, and now with The Last Of Us Part II, Spider-Man from Insomniac, Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and more coming, they’ve got a great lineup to fill out the rest of the year and some of 2019.
“Ultimately, we want the best games possible. To get the best games possible, we really do trust in and empower our creators and our teams and our studios.”
