The first game where we had parkour blend in with open world zombie survival was Dying Light, which was a rather fun game that no one actually expected to be as good as it was. The sequel that was shown at E3 wants to improve on all aspects of the first game, and from the looks of it, it manages to do just that. Dying Light 2 will feature a huge world where all our actions have consequences, and they will shape the areas around us in, allowing us to interact with the world in all kinds of ways.
One of the most fun aspects of Dying Light was the fluidity of the movement. Doing parkour on a huge map and running around and dropkicking zombies was really fun, and it seems like they are improving on that system in the sequel. The world of Dying Light 2 seems to be a lot larger, and it seems like we will play a big part in the shaping of this world as we cooperate with the various factions that reside there. Zombies are also very dangerous, especially during the night, but we don’t get to see a lot of them in the E3 gameplay trailer.
When will Dying Light 2 come out you may ask? Unfortunately, we didn’t get a release date at E3, but we are optimistic that we will be getting more info on that soon.
