Dragon Ball FighterZ Leaked For Switch?
Dragon Ball FighterZ was a hit game from basically the word “go”, and it’s been impressing many people since its trailer released at E3 last year. Many were surprised by just how good the game was in terms of looks, gameplay, character roster, story, and more. This was a true Dragon Ball title and not a clone or spinoff of the other series like Xenoverse. However, there was one omission that many fans called out: It wasn’t coming to Nintendo Switch. Well, that may be changing.
A “leak” has been “released” and people from all over are talking about it. As you can see, it’s a picture of a vast amount of 3rd party titles, and one first-party title, that is seemingly going to be shown at E3 2018, and one of the key art logos is for Dragon Ball FighterZ. In fact, it’s the top slot, though the context of the page is unclear so that might not mean anything.
Getting the game on the Switch has been a fan desire for months, and some surprising people have come forward to proclaim that they wanted this to happen, including Christopher Sabat, the English voice actor by Vegeta in the series.
Ironically, Bandai Namco stated early on that if Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 sold well on the Switch, they would consider bringing FighterZ to the system as well. In less than a month, Xenoverse 2 sold 500,000 copies on Switch, despite the game being almost a year old. That clearly showed something to the developer, and that makes this leak even more believable.
It also helps that many other sites have been reaching out to see if this is real, and many are saying that it is. Which is naturally a huge boon for the Switch, because if it’s getting FighterZ, Fortnite, and some more of those titles, it’s going to get even more popular.
