The first RAGE game wasn’t anything special, and it received mediocre reviews. It was an open-world shooter that had a disappointing story, not much to do in its very impressive post-apocalyptic world, and solid gameplay. Well, even though the game didn’t do as well as one might want, it is still getting a sequel, and we got an official gameplay video for that sequel. since there are little words that can describe all the chaos in this clip, you should just go and watch the RAGE 2 official gameplay trailer for yourself.
As you can see, there’s quite a lot of insanity in that video, and in a world such as this, that isn’t anything strange. You have mutants, spectacular weapons, awesome cars, some sort of boomerang shuriken hybrid weapon, giant mutants, and more in one gameplay trailer, so it’s safe to say that RAGE 2 is aiming for the feeling of the first RAGE game, but on a bigger scale and with more polish.
The sequel is currently looking like a hybrid of Mad Max, Borderlands, and DOOM, which is definitely a combination that could yield some interesting results, but they also have to throw away any conflicts that such a combination might produce. All in all, this gameplay trailer definitely got us pumped up for RAGE 2, but we currently have no idea when it will be released, but we might find out at this year’s E3 event.
