Is Fortnite and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Teaming Up For A Crossover?
There’s been a lot of rumors and speculation going around about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. For example, there’s rumors that the game wouldn’t feature a singleplayer campaign, there’s also rumors that a massive Battle Royale component is going to be in the game ala Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. There’s no confirmation to any of these things as of yet, but they continue to persist regardless. And now, a new rumor has emerged that shatters the others one for something even bigger.
Fornite and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may be working together for a crossover. Why are people like Dexerto saying such a thing? Well, it’s more simple than you might think. You see, an update was made to the Fortnite store recently that would allow people to get their characters a Chromium Outfit, which made them look like androids. The picture below was given to show that off. Now, look at the female characters dog tags, do you see anything special?
That’s right, there appear to be four orange bars on that dog tag set to a black background, which looks strikingly similar to the logo for Black Ops 4. Now, yes, this could be an incredible coincidence, or, it could be a tease for what’s to come.
The important thing to note here is that neither side is saying anything, and this would mesh with the Battle Royale rumors that have been swirling around the newest Call of Duty game. What’s more, it’s not unheard of for other developers to help out with a specific section of a video game while the main team works on the rest.
Thankfully, some clarity is coming very soon, as Activision is going to have a global reveal event this Thursday, and we’ll no doubt get many of the answers we deserve, including whether this crossover is happening.
