We’re just days away from Activision’s full-on reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Despite knowing about it for a while now, they’ve decided to keep their cards close to their chests in order to save everything, or most of everything, for the event itself. While we have some guesses as to what will be in the game, it’s hard to predict what the publisher and developer Treyarch have planned given that the main Call of Duty series recently went back to World War II.
However, in a surprise tweet from E3 (the official channel), they revealed this:
“What’s lurking around the corner of
@Treyarch’s next Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies experience? Come hear the history of Call of Duty Zombies from the creators themselves at#E3Coliseum!”
You have to wonder if Activision or Treyarch knew about this tweet going out the way it did, but however you look at it, this is confirmation that there will be a zombie mode in Black Ops 4.
To be fair, this isn’t much of a surprise, after all, the Call of Duty games have been known for their zombie mode for quite a while now. It’s not so much of a stretch to say that people not only expect the mode, they demand it.
It is interesting that this mode will be given a special spotlight at E3 2018, but hey, the teams can do what they want, when they want, as they’ve proven with the reveal event.
Moving onto the other things that are swirling around Black Ops 4’s reveal is the potential for a Battle Royale mode. It’s been hinted at, teased, “leaked”, and rumored, and it’s putting a lot of people on edge because we haven’t gotten confirmation on it.
Hopefully, we’ll get all the reveals we deserve when the event comes next week.
