Are Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Rumors Fake?
In the internet age that we live in, it’s very easy to get caught in the rumors and speculation that gets circulated on the web and think it to be true. Fighting games have this problem bad because people predict or “leak” the rosters, with only some of them actually being true. Other genres have this problem as well, including first-person shooters, and a great example of this is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The game has only been revealed, not explained, and yet, numerous rumors are popping up about what it’ll be like.
Some of the more recurring rumors include Black Ops 4 not have a singleplayer campaign mode, which would be a first for the franchise. There have also been rumors saying that the game could get a Battle Royale mode like PUBG and Fortnite. Despite no confirmations to either, the rumors have been building up momentum in the fanbase. But one pro Call of Duty player isn’t buying it.
On Twitter, pro player Justin Fargo-Palmer, aka SiLLY, said, “Apparently all that leaked bo4 stuff was fake? Love to hear that.”
Now, he didn’t give reasoning behind what he said, nor a source or hint of a source that seemed to tell him everything we’ve heard so far is fake. But, it does seem odd that he would make such a claim without some basis for it. Then again, this is the Internet.
The true irony of all of this is that Activision and Treyarch will soon be revealing what’s going to happen with Black Ops 4 in a special reveal event later this month. And no doubt the game will be at E3 2018, if not just on the floor, but also in several press conferences to show off what’s coming. Either way, rumor or true, we will find out what’s in the game, and what isn’t, soon.
