It may sound like there are some problems when game developers decide to bring in people from the community to help them with their problem, but it might not be such a bad thing overall. Patrick “Holtzmann” Casey, a member of the Destiny 2 community which has been around ever since the first Destiny came out, became a gameplay specialist at Bungie for three months, so he can help them find any problems with the games.
Patrick is an old member of the Destiny community, since he’s been around since the first game came out, so Bungie is thinking that they need the opinion of players to revive Destiny 2. There was a community summit where all players had a chance to give some advice on the lore and story of this MMO shooter, and it seems like Patrick had some great advice as he became a gameplay specialist, even though it’s only for a couple of months.
This is something really amazing, as the developers can’t know what’s wrong with the game as much as the players can, so naturally, if you want the best help imaginable with the story, gameplay, and so on, you need to ask the people that play that game and see what needs to be changed. We hope that Patrick manages to fix any problems that are currently plaguing Destiny 2, and we wish him the best of luck!
