In a time before everyone was obsessed with battle royal shooters, a lot of gaming developers tried to get in on the MOBA craze that was going on. Of course, most of those games failed, as there are only a couple of games that can even think of competing with League of Legends, which is a MOBA giant in the industry. But, there’s a new challenger, and he’s called The Day Online, a third-person MOBA which aims to be face-paced and focused on skill instead of boring things like farming.
To be completely honest, this does sound like a great innovation of the MOBA genre, but we already have certain games that do the exact same thing, like Battlerite, where you just have an arena where players fight to the death, and it’s purely skill-based. The Day Online is a third-person title, which will appeal to players that like games like Smite, just remove things like farming and boring laning phases. This game also really wants you to focus on team play, as there are certain locations on maps that will either give you powerful skills to use or immensely important buffs to your entire team.
The game is in Early Access, but judging from the reviews on its Steam page, the game is fairly fun, even though it has some issues with lag and optimization. That will probably get fixed in the future, so if you’re a fan of fast-paced MOBA action, why not give The Day Online a chance?
