When Doomfist Will Likely Arrive in Overwatch
The arrival of Doomfist is proving to be one of the most anticipated since the release of Overwatch. The introduction of the long-awaited and heavily rumored Talon character has certainly been creating a buzz, with rumblings suggesting his release will coincide with a summer event in the Blizzard shooter.
This is likely to take place at the start of August if last year is anything to go off of, which introduced the Overwatch Summer Games event. Doomfist recently entered PTR testing, so given the timescale, its likely that he will be released around this time, though some sources suggest that if the development process works out the same as Orisa, he could arrive as early as July 24th.
This would make more sense to do so, seeing as it would give players the opportunity to play Doomfist and get used to him in time for the Summer Games Event. What’s more is that there will apparently be plentiful cosmetic items for you to get your hands on with Doomfist. According to dataminers, 67 cosmetic items have been found which will launch with the anti-hero character, with an additional four items being added for the Summer Games Event. We won’t have long to wait either way, with the Summer Games just a few weeks away.
