Ah, the LEGO video game series. It started with Star Wars, moved to Indiana Jones, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Jurassic Park (no, it did), and then became its own Dimensions. After doing so much, you honestly have to wonder what else there is to do? Sure, they could mimic other franchises like they’ve done before, but what one would they do next? Well, a leak has apparently revealed that the next franchise to be LEGO-ized is going to be Pixar. Because LEGO The Incredibles is coming.
This news comes from The Brick Fan, who found out that on the back of instruction manuals in the LEGO Juniors Incredibles 2 sets that an ad for LEGO The Incredibles video game was shown. Here’s a picture of the ad:
For those who don’t know the beloved Pixar film (and the upcoming sequel). The Incredibles is about a world where superheroes are beloved, until the public decides they do more harm than good, and ask them to go back to “normal lives”. The Parr family, which consists of Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack, have trouble with adjusting to this new life. So when an opportunity arises to suit up occurs, Mr. Incredible jumps at it, and the family soon follows.
The film was very successful, and a sequel is coming later this year. More than likely, the LEGO video game will follow the events of the two films for a nice overarching experience.
Ironically, this is the first Pixar film to get a LEGO video game. But it makes sense when you think about it, as the superhero powers will work well within the LEGO confines, as they’ve proven with the DC Comics and Marvel games.
As you can see on the ad, the game will come out to PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox One, so everyone will have a chance to be Incredible.
