An important patch is set to be launched into the test servers for the PC version of PUBG later this week.
The patch revolves around certain additions, such as Bullet Penetration. This rather self explanatory feature will affect both body limbs and vehicles, though it won’t affect materials, something that certain fans have been calling for. How it will actually work has yet to be confirmed, though it has been confirmed that there will be more information revealed later this week when the patch does drop.
At the moment, if a player wants to make a car explode, then they can do so by making them either explode or by shooting the driver. The idea of body limb penetration is to prevent players from using their arms to block shots to the head and chest.
It will be curious to see just how well the penetration works, and how much realism it will be adding to the game. For example, where vehicle penetration is concerned, there is the question of whether or not it’ll make a car explode by aiming at the gas tank, or if it will stick to the current methods in place. In the meantime, there are more features being planned, which include voice chat and the in-game friend system being added.
PUBG is now available on PC and Xbox One.
