What’s a video game without a little fun, right? Sometimes it’s solely on the shoulders of developers to ensure that a game is fun. However, when it comes to the gamers themselves, they’re more than up for adding a little extra fun to titles. Usually, this comes via mods, and through them, all sorts of shenanigans can occur. Some are small, some are big, and some take you to a galaxy far, far away. And that’s exactly where one modder took Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and we’re grateful for it.
In case you didn’t know, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a recent title that puts you in a very realistic medieval time period in the land of Bohemia, where you must do various things on a quest for honor, glory, and other noble venture. For one modder though, they decided to bring a sci-fi element to the game by adding Lightsabers to the mix.
No, you heard us right, the game now has Lightsabers, in fact, they have many different kinds of Lightsabers. Here is the official description of the mod from Nexus:
14 Unique models of lightsabers. Replacing ingame Longswords, shortswords and sabers. Hunting swords, maces, war hammers and polearms stays as it is. Sharpening still works.
If you want to see them in action before downloading the mod, you can check out a video detailing them here. Now, yes, this does make the game slightly less “realistic”, but if there’s one universal truth in this world, it’s that everything is better with Lightsabers.
Oh, it also should be noted that the moon in the world will be turned into the Death Star via this mod. However, you shouldn’t expect Bohemia to turn into Alderaan, at least…not in this mod.
