PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Players Figure Out How To Avoid “Blue Circle Of Death”
One of the dangers in making a massive multiplayer game where the point is to fight each other is “how do you prevent people from just hiding from everyone else?” Well, for battle royale games, the answer is the “perimeter”, or more basically, the furthest the players can go. In battle royale games, the perimeter closes in on the players, forcing them to abandon where they are and ensure they don’t touch it, else face death. This was true for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but a glitch is making that not as true anymore.
Simply put, players have found out that if you stand still in the game, the “Blue Circle of Death”, another name for the perimeter, won’t affect you. Considering that the game has been out for almost a year now and this is only being discovered now, you can understand people being shocked at the simplicity of this. Apparently, a player discovered it, then, another person noticed it happening to another player and asked around about it, and so on and so forth. Now? Many people know about it.
Now, is this cheating? Technically, no. The game itself has the glitch within it, it’s not a hack or a mod where it “forces” the game to do such a thing. Because of this, we fully expect developer Bluehole to fix it in a good amount of time, mainly because both fans and media outlets like us are talking about it. However, that doesn’t prevent you from trying it out yourselves before it gets fixed.
Bluehole has been working hard to make PlayerUnknown’s a fair game, which admittedly has been difficult given that there are an enormous amount of cheaters in the game. Interestingly enough, a large portion of them are from China. And if they found out about this glitch? Yeah, it wouldn’t be good at all.
