The release of Metal Gear Survive has not been without controversy, especially where the lack of Hideo Kojima is concerned. If you fall into the category of still being angry over his sacking, then you may get a kick out of this.
Prior to the release of Metal Gear Solid V, Hideo Kojima was allegedly and rather infamously fired by Konami. Though it hasn’t really been disclosed as to what actually happened, many angry fans firmly point the blame at the company who parted ways with him. This wasn’t helped by the cancellation of Silent Hills, either.
Anyway, the message that has been uncovered can be seen below, with an anagram that appears to spell out “KJP FOREVER.”
The anagram has been widely assumed to stand for Kojima Productions, which was an abbreviation used prior to it being closed down. It’s interesting to see how it has made its way into the game. It could be some former developers paying tribute to Kojima, or it could simply be a massive coincidence. Who knows? If it is the former, we could potentially see Konami patch it out if they aren’t aware of it.
Metal Gear Survive is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
