PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Outlines Content Roadmap
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been going through a rare rough patch. Mainly because people are starting to get tired of some of the things that go on in it, and because of that, the game’s concurrent player base has dropped more than it would like. One of the biggest problems players are having is the cheating that is going on (99% of which comes from China, believe it or not). Developer Bluehole has been working hard to try and fix it, but they also know they need to continue working on regular content for the game.
So, in an update on Steam, the team revealed some things that are coming soon, have just been added, and will come sometime this year. One of the things you can expect March, for example, is a new roadmap of the content releases for the year:
In March, the team will reveal what you can expect from us in the first half of 2018 in terms of our development and new content plans which, by the way, include a new map.
A new map sounds very promising, and no doubt will get players excited for it despite not knowing when exactly the map will arrive. Bluehole also promises the introduction of a new Ping system that’ll help with matchmaking. This was meant to come out last year, but because of cheating in the game, that had to be delayed until something could be done.
Now, as for today, Bluehole revealed some patch notes that details new items and fixes that have been put into the game. This includes a new crate or two that’ll give you even more things to dress your characters up as. Including some very retro and stylish outfits (which you can see above).
So, get ready, because PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is aiming to win you back…in due time.
