Japan is renowned for celebrating video games in the form of everyday locations, particularly in the country’s capital of Tokyo. There is a Capcom cafe that sells Mega Man merchandise throughout the year, though the company are fond of having a special pop-up location to celebrate events, even if it’s only for a limited time. In this instance, it will be for Mega Man’s 30th anniversary.
Famitsu has stated that over Aeon Lake Town in Koshigaya, which serves as Japan’s “largest eco-friendly shopping center,” there will be a special Mega Man cafe opening up for a limited time only. Here, eager fans will be able to get themed food and merchandise from the Blue Bomber, and will open from February 22nd through to March 28th. What the merch entails remains to be seen, though they have offered the following image as a bit of a teaser.
In other news, Mega Man 11 is set for release later this year. If you have some catching up to do, then you can pick up both Legacy Collections that feature the mainline entries in the franchise, as well as a few extras thrown in for good measure. Meanwhile, the 10th entry is available as part of Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program, and is currently available on Xbox Game Pass.
