The recently implemented Fortnite patch hasn’t had the desired effect, it seems. Whilst the elusive minigun is a welcome addition, what isn’t quite as pleasing on the eye is the unwelcoming resolution that has accompanied yesterday’s patch. PS4 and Xbox One players are both encountering resolution issues that stretches the screen, causing key visual aspects such as kill count and inventory items to go out of bounds.
Thankfully, developer Epic Games are aware of such issues and are currently looking into a fix. In a recent post on Reddit, Epic stated:
“We are aware that some console players are having issues with resolution. Fixing this is a priority for us and we will let you know when we are ready to deploy a fix.”
When the problem will actually be fixed remains to be seen, with no timeline given as to when it will be rectified. It’s worth noting that there are players that aren’t suffering from such issues, though it’s relieving to hear that Epic are prioritizing a fix regardless.
Fortnite has been subjected to bouts of downtime as of late, as Epic scramble to right a number of wrongs, which includes treasure chests featuring no items, as well as issues with the recently updated building system.
Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
