Without a doubt, one of the things that makes Dragon Ball FighterZ so great is the visuals. The anime seems to have been picked up and dropped right onto a game console or PC, and now you can control its characters. The camera movements and cutscenes that take place in the battles, place the original voice cast lending their talents to the game really make it an all-in-one experience. And that was before the “retro” mode was discovered on PC.
To be clear, this isn’t an “official” mode, but it does harken back to the early days of Dragon Ball titles. For you see, on PC, you can adjust the graphics settings to better fit your computers specs, right? Well, if you go to the lowest settings, the graphics will become pixelated, and look like they did back on systems like the Game Boy Advance. Check it out.

Cool huh? Now, yeah, some people won’t see the appeal in this (especially since some fighting games in the early generations looked better than this), but in all honesty, it’s just something fun to look at. The game plays the same, but now it looks like you’re playing it on a retro console or handheld. It’s the simple things in life that make us smile.
And trust us when we saw that a LOT of people are smiling as they play Dragon Ball FighterZ. Positive reviews are pouring in from all over, the game is being praised for its style, its gameplay, its character depth, and even its simplicity in regards to the control scheme.
As if that wasn’t enough, the game is even setting records on Steam in regards to concurrent players.
So whether you play it in all its graphical glory, or in a retro state of mind, you’re likely going to enjoy this game.
