PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Now Has “Known Issues” Section Of Forum
When you make a video game, you’re going to create errors, or bugs, that’s just the way it goes. Sometimes its unintentionally, sometimes you’ll make something knowing bugs will happen and know you’ll fix them later. Either way, they happen. But, when they’re not fixed when the game is released, that causes problems. This has been the problem for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds since basically its launch on Steam Early Access, then full launch on Steam this past December, as the bugs continue to weigh down the game.
Now, don’t get us wrong, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still doing incredibly well, and players literally fly to the game to play it. However, they also know that their experience can be hampered by these bugs.
But now, developer Bluehole are taking the extra step of letting players know not only what the major bugs are in the game, but where they are in being fixed. They’ve added a “Known Issues” section of their forum for just this purpose.
“It is our goal to improve the level of transparency when it comes to letting you know which issues have been identified and are being worked on. We are striving to have a better turnaround on identifying and solving emerging issues,” said the Community Coordinator on the official site.
The breakdown is actually quite detailed. For example, some bugs that are scheduled to be fixed soon include the UI “wobbling” upon descent to the island, dying after vaulting or getting into the water, motorcycles sinking into the ground, and more.
Other bugs though are still under “investigation” which means Bluehole are looking into why these bugs are happening. Such as why a couple of players can get stuck in a door, or the “Friends List” not working properly.
While they’re fixing these, they encourage players to keep reporting bugs so fixes can be made.
