Star Wars Battlefront II Getting A Bug-Fixing Patch Soon
Star Wars Battlefront II has made headlines since launch, and even before then, because of the bad decisions by EA and DICE. And in fact, they’ve sometimes overshadowed the fact that the game itself actually is pretty good. It did indeed expand upon what the original did, and bettered it in many ways, including bringing in a story mode that helped connect things between the original trilogy and the new trilogy. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bugs and glitches that need fixing, and EA has been doing their best to keep on top of that.
In fact, when players were getting a little restless about when the bugs would be fixed, EA made a post on their forums to calm them down. Community Manager Mat Everett noted this:
“We have a patch incoming; it’s going to address more than a handful of items and misc. bug fixes. This patch is in the approval stage and should arrive soon pending those approvals.”
Though this post was made a few days ago, it’s hopeful that the approvals shall come soon and allow the patch to be put into the game. Should it happen, Everett detailed the things that would be fixed. Including, the Heroes getting tweaked, the Wookies getting tweaked, several classes of Troopers getting tweaked, and then weapon balances and bug fixes. The standard patch affair, but, stuff that is still needed in order to maintain things for Battlefront II.
The game has been getting new content since launch, including a free DLC pack that brought in characters and maps from Star Wars The Last Jedi. Many are hoping for such updates to continue. And a tease was given that Private Matches may be coming to the game soon, as well as new heroes like Anakin Skywalker.
We’ll just have to see how it all unfolds.
