Ubisoft Making a New Splinter Cell Game?

With rumors running rampant as to what Ubisoft were going to reveal at E3 2017 recently, many will have come away disappointed to not see a brand new Splinter Cell game being announced.

This was based on many rumors doing the rounds, as they do with most games at that time of year given its E3 after all, that Sam Fisher would be making a stealthy return to the gamin scene. Alas, it wasn’t to be, and there was no indication that there would be a new game coming to the franchise after all.

However, CEO Yves Guillemot has hinted that the French company may be looking into making a new Splinter Cell game: “What we can say is we’re receiving a lot of sketches and proposals around the brand and we’re going to pick one up. I think you will be able to see something, but you will have to wait for that.”

If this can be taken as any sort of confirmation, then its one that is certainly in its early stages at the very least. So early in fact that it couldn’t have anything shown at E3 recently, but it is something for fans of the series to hold onto for the time being.
