FACEIT and X Games Presenting Rocket League Invitational
Today, there has been a collaboration between FACEIT, one of the biggest online competitive gaming platforms, and the world’s premier action sports competition X Games, combining with the indie car-soccer hybrid game Rocket League to present the FACEIT X Games Rocket League Invitational.
This new esports competition will be taking place in the X Games festival village, located at X Games Minneapolis. This will see players going head to head in heated rounds of the indie game from Psyonix, battling for a $75,000 prize pool. This event is set to take place on July 14-16, to be streamed live on ESPN3 and other outlets.
FACEIT Chief Business Officer Michele Attisani stated: “By joining with X Games, ESPN and FACEIT can expand the scope of esports and let viewers around the world discover the teamwork and dedication that Rocket League teams exhibit.”
Further details are set to be revealed in the coming days on which platforms this event will be taking place on. Rocket League fans can tune into all the action on ESPN 3 for certain, as the sports network continues to do a great job in bringing non-traditional sports to the mainstream.
