Fortnite creators Epic Games has announced a brand new weapon and game mode, which brings more of an element of stealth to the battle royale mode. The Sneaky Silencer event will kick off on January 5th, and will run through until January 8th.
This event follows on from other recent limited-time events that have been taking place, which has included the likes of a 50v50 mode, as well as the recently ended High Explosives mode.
Once the Sneaky Silencer mode has kicked off, weapons in the game will be limited to just suppressed SMG and Suppressed Pistols, as well as traps being disabled too. Also, the bush drops, which will play a much bigger part in this mode, will be dropped much more frequently, so you’ll be able to disguise yourself in both tactical and hilarious fashion more often.
The new Sneaky Silencer mode will also bring a new silenced pistol weapon, which you’ll be able to pick up from supply drops, in treasure chests, or even find them as floor loot in both Epic and Legendary rarity. Today’s update brings the new silenced pistol, with the mode to follow in a few days.
Fortnite is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
