Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Getting New Character Content?
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was a massive title in many ways. It had to be in order to be a true sequel to the very successful original game. The title brought in many new features and has been a thrill to play in the eyes of many gamers. You’d think that with the upcoming arrival of Dragon Ball FighterZ (due later this month) that Bandai Namco would be forsaking its other Dragon Ball titles, but that would be wrong. In fact, not only are they not doing that, they’re doubling down on it.
In February, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be getting a “Extra Pack 2”, which will bring four new playable characters to the game, as well as an extension to the story of the game. One of the new characters is going to be a sword-wielder named Fu. But, what about after that? Well, fans have been diving into the data for the game, and one fan posted his findings on Twitter.

The far left panel clearly states that Jiren is coming to the game. For those who don’t know, Jiren is a villain in the current Dragon Ball Super arc “The Tournament of Power”, and he’s quite a fighter, so bringing him in is a big move.
The “R17” is a bit of a mystery, Dragon Ball fans know the significance of the number 17, as it’s the designation of the dangerous android made by Dr. Gero. The “R” could mean “reborn”, which is what he was in the Super Android 17 saga, but we’re truly speculating here.
According to the dataminer, the characters will be released on April 12th, but as of yet, this is unconfirmed. Bandai Namco though has been teasing Ultra Instinct Goku though, so maybe he’ll be bundled up with them? Hard to say.
