The award-winning action-adventure shooter Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has certainly made a big impact since release. The game, published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by MachineGames, sold 319,301 units in the first week of retail it seems, according to the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart, which showcased such stats for the week that ended on October 28th.
When dividing the sales up by platform, PS4 came out on top with 65% of the sales, selling 206,705 copies, whilst 26% were sold on Xbox One with 82, 745 and the remaining 9% sold on PC with 29,851.
As for the sales by region, Europe boasted the highest sales with 151,871 sales, whilst the US sold 114,517 and 50,260 in Japan. Interestingly, Germany sold the most copies in Europe, with 32,272, followed by 29,163 in the UK and 23,623 in France.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is now available on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game follows on from the last outing The New Order, as the last of the resistance attempts to halt the Nazis stranglehold over the USA. It presents yet another bullet-filled action adventure that is bound to captivate both fans of the franchise and newcomers who want to destroy the opposition in the most explosive and graphic ways possibly imagined.
