Back in April this year, we saw the announcement of Payday 2 for the Switch as part of a Nintendo Direct. There hadn’t been much more in terms of news since, though we now know a release date that has been set, with the game set for release physically and digitally on February 23rd in Europe, followed by a release in the Americas on February 27th.
There has also been a hint given as to how much the game will cost. In the US, GameStop has listed the product as $49.99. This of course is for the physical version, with no confirmation at this time as to whether this will be the same for the digital version. Amazon UK lists Payday 2 as £39.99, with pre-orders opening this week.
The listing offers states that the Switch version of the game “will come with hundreds of masks for players to choose from, plus patterns and skins they can use to customize weapons, armor and masks.” There are also set to be additional mechanics and updates that will take advantage of the Switch’s touch screen capabilities.
Payday 2 is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4, and will make its way onto the Nintendo Switch in February.
