Star Wars is on the tips of everyone’s tongues right now, for with the release of Star Wars The Last Jedi, everyone is riding high on a galaxy far, far away, but even in the lower reaches, where the game Battlefront II exists, there is still joy and hope to be had. And if you appreciate art, you’ll definitely want to check out a special art piece that was made as a theme to PS4 users of the game, it’s something special.
As revealed on the PlayStation Blog, artist, and longtime Star Wars fan, Russell Walks, the special theme is available now. But what makes the art piece so special is the process that Russell went through to make the piece good in his mind. As you’ll see on the blog, the theme, which highlights story campaign character Iden Versio, take many iterations, from classic shots, to wide shots featuring many characters, to various logos in the background, it’s a whole process.
Walks notes how lucky he was to have this honor, and he was overjoyed with how well the final picture came out, and he hopes you like it as well.
This picture though won’t be enough to stem the many gripes that both players and critics have with Battlefront II. The game may have done well enough sales-wise in November, but it was a far cry from what the original game day a few years back.
What’s more, the games progression and microtransaction systems caused uproars in the fan community, and that led to the decreased sales, as well as government action as certain politicians declared that they would investigate the game and others like it for the promotion of gambling in video games.
