PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ latest character designs that have appeared on the test servers have been accused of being “sleazy,” as the female characters have been pictured with bulging genitalia and tight underwear.
This has been introduced since PUBG’s test server showcased the new desert map, as well as the new vaulting mechanic and an overhauled UI. Yet the new character models that have been introduced seemingly only add to the female characters, with male characters not being subjected to these enhancements. This raised the question across the web as to why Bluehole had implemented a feature such as this for females and not male avatars.
PlayerUnknown, aka Brendan Greene, has since tweeted out an apology regarding the updated female character model, stating: “After looking into this, it appears it came as part of the character model we received from an outsourcer when we first started the project. The file itself has not been changed in 2 years. It will be updated shortly with changes! Sorry for any offense caused!”
PUBG will arrive on the Xbox One Preview program tomorrow on December 12th, before leaving Early Access on PC on December 20th. This will mark a console exclusive for Xbox One, with no more heard on when it will arrive on PS4.
