PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Gets Desert Map Trailer
With each passing day, players want to know when PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will launch on PC, as well as Xbox One (which will get if Preview version of the game very soon). And while we don’t know that, developer Bluehole is still working hard on the game, and that includes the making of a brand new map. We’ve known the desert map was coming for a while now, and recently it was revealed that the map was going to be called Miramar, and now, we have a more in-depth look at it.
During The Game Awards yesterday, PlayerUnknown himself took to the stage to unveil the first official trailer for the Miramar map, and it gives you a very simple objective, “Survive The Desert.” Miramar was created to be a contrast to other maps, especially Erangel. Because of that, the terrain, the cities, landmarks, everything about this map is meant to be special in ways you might not think.
For example, on this map, you can’t use the same tactics as you have in other maps, this was a big design goal for this place, the team wants you on your toes as you explore this massive area, and try and figure out the best way to survive as 99 other players come and hunt you down.
And make no mistake, this place is huge, just PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds maps are known for. There will be major city areas like Los Leones, military base areas, tourist attractions, small towns that are now war zones, you have a lot to explore and find as you weave your way through Miramar.
The map is set to arrive before the game releases, likely to ensure the quality of the map in large matchups. But when that exactly is, well, that is the biggest mystery right now.
