Two Versions Of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds For Mobile?
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular games in the world right now, and we do mean the literal world. For players from all over the world are playing this game, or are going to be playing this game. In fact, 20 million+ people have play the title, with over 2,000,000 of them playing at the same time on Steam. That’s impressive. Yet, the game is still not done growing, as it’s going to be coming to the Xbox One (and Xbox One X), and as noted before, it’s coming to Mobile too.
But, what you might not know, is that there’s going to be a second mobile game for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, this one made by Lightspeed & Quantum Studio. There are not many details on this one, but, early indications are that this will be a lot like the PC version of the game. Making you wonder what the Tencent version of the game will be like on Mobile.
To refresh your memory, Tencent got the rights to bring PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to China (after some modifications of course), and then shortly after that revealed that they were also making a mobile version of the game. But, this mobile version is going to be only for China, or at least, for the time being, things could change. It appears as though this other mobile game will also be rooted in China. But again, we’ll have to see how it goes.
More than likely, players won’t care about either version, as they’re having too much fun with the PC and eventual Xbox One versions of the game. Plus, players are just waiting for the games to be truly done. The games as they stand now are in “early access” mode, and the Xbox One version isn’t even out for Preview yet.
Still, it’s going to be something we keep our eye on.
