MINECON Earth Gives Updates To Several Minecraft DLC And Features
Minecraft continues to be one of the most fun games out there right now. For with a massive world to explore, and infinite potential on what you can build (seriously, it’s infinite, check out Youtube if you don’t believe us!), there’s no limit to the fun that can be had. And yet, Mojang seems to want to keep giving us things to do. So, during MINECON Earth, the developer dropped several bits of information on upcoming packs and content, then detailed them in a blog.
First up, there’s “The Update Aquatic”, this update will make the oceans of Minecraft much more full of life and content. You’ll find that the water physics will be updated, loads of new fish and aquatic animals will be down there, and you can even explore shipwrecks! As if that wasn’t enough, there will also be aquatic combat, and you’ll get to use a trident to defend yourself. No definite timeframe for this pack has been given
Another interesting piece of news is that there’s going to be a new server for the game. It’s run by “The Hive”, who will be bringing their mini-game called “Death Run” to the world of Minecraft this year, and possibly very soon.
Sadly, there was some bad news for fans at the event. Two pieces, in fact. First up, the “Super Duper Graphics Pack” has been delayed to 2018. To refresh your memories, this pack made it so that Minecraft would shine even brighter with new lighting and textures. But, Mojang says there’s a lot more work to be done, so it has to be pushed back.
Then, there’s the cross-play content for the Nintendo Switch version of the game. It too has been delayed to 2018. Mojang notes they want to make sure it’s the “best experience possible” before release so that Switch players can meet PC, Xbox One, and mobile players in the world.
