This weekend the Tekken 7 World Tour Finals were held, where Bandai Namco announced that Final Fantasy XV’s protagonist, Noctis, will be a playable character in the fighting game. A preview has also arrived with the announcement.
Tekken 7’s character lineup already covers plenty of other universes. Take Akuma from Street Fighter for example. This time, Bandai Namco decided to target Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV and will be adding Noctis to Tekken 7’s roaster. Let’s take a look at the preview.
“Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV enters the TEKKEN 7 ring! Wielding his signature Engine Blade, Noctis is ready to deal heavy hard-hitting blows as he takes on the likes of Yoshimitsu, Devil Jin, Jack 7, and the rest of the TEKKEN 7 fighters when he enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament in spring 2018!”
Noctis will be using his iconic Engine Blade while fighting and he will also be able to utilize his Armiger ability. The character will be added to Tekken 7 through a DLC arriving early 2018. We already knew that Geese Howard, who is well known from Fatal Fury and King of Fighters, is also joining Tekken 7. The DLC in which he is included arrives in December.
We are really excited about the developer’s decision to add Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis, and we’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
