A new system is being introduced to the H1Z1: King of the Kill test server, one which takes a different direction to the strict Cone of Fire whilst using a sight to aim. The concept may sound easy on paper, yet the developers are keen to make players aware of new mechanics that are being brought in.
At the moment, the game’s live servers are utilizing a shooting mechanism which is reliable on the Cone of Fire expansion, adding unpredictability to each shot per successive shot fired, which controls how many shots per second the player can accurately fire. This method also uses recoil and an expanding reticle which should help prevent any accuracy lost whilst firing rapidly. Players will need to maintain accuracy and learn the timing of each gun.
This is an easy mechanism to learn, though the only way in which the player would be able to counteract the inaccuracy whilst firing rapidly would be to hold their fire when they deem their shots are becoming too inaccurate. So, to offer players a better method to counter this, the ADS shooting mechanic being introduced will rely predominantly on recoil, which will add more accuracy penalty whilst firing rapidly in aim mode only. Hipfire meanwhile shall remain as it is on the live servers.
