Final Fantasy XV players will be gaining a first time experience with the online multiplayer expansion “Comrades,” where they will create their own avatar and head out on a number of adventures with their friends. Set for release on October 31st, the next expansion sees players assuming the role of a Kingsglaive survivor following the disappearance of game protagonist Noctis following on from the events in Chapter 13.
Kingsglaive members are equipped with royal sigils that “grant special powers from the Lucian bloodline,” according to a recent press release. This allows players to form a strategy and create a team to take out on quests. As well as participating in multiplayer quests, players can also take on single player quests to further enhance their characters if they choose to. Whatever path you choose, it seems as though the new multiplayer is going to add a whole new dimension to the popular RPG.
To commemorate this release, Square Enix has provided a brand new trailer along with a new track entitled “Choosing Hope” by popular Japanese artist Emiko Suzuki, composed by Uematsu. Check out the trailer below:
Final Fantasy XV is now available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release set for next year.
