Rainbox Six Siege Is Getting Crossplay
Ubisoft finally decided to bring together all Rainbow Six Siege players with crossplay but without adding PC players into the mix.
Crossplay is always a welcome addition. Letting players using different systems and platforms go against one another or group up together is an awesome thing. Don’t know why it takes devs so much time to finally introduce it for their games.
Whatever the case may be, during Ubisoft’s Forward stream they announced it. Rainbow Six Siege will get crossplay. Yet, the interesting thing is that PC players won’t be able to play with console users. Xbox and PlayStation players can find each other in games once crossplay arrives. But PC players can only match up with Amazon Luna and Google Stadia players.
It makes sense. Rainbow Six Siege is an intense tactical shooter with an incredibly high skill ceiling. And aiming with a mouse and a keyboard vs aiming with a controler is different as night and day. Still, Blizzard found a way to put console and PC players together. They can play together in normal matches but won’t match up in competitive play. A simple yet effective solution.
What do you think, did Rainbow Six Siege need crossplay? Should they have included PC players? Let me know your opinions on the matter in the comments section down below!
