Crytek is dropping some hints left and right that may suggest the company is preparing a Crysis 2 remastered announcement.
Crytek is really bad at dropping hints. They’re more like secrets that everyone already knows. That’s how they hinted at the Crysis remaster that came out last year. Ok, maybe I was the only one that thought they were making a new Crysis game. It’s understandable for the first game to get the remastered treatment. It is 14 years old. Yet, do we need Crysis 2 Remastered?
Yes, the game came out 10 years ago, but it doesn’t mean it’s ugly or anything like that. Quite the contrary, Crysis 2 looks fresh even by today’s standards. Maybe devs today got too caught up in the remastered trend. Why would anyone make something new and original when you can just put some makeup on a 10-year old game and sell it again.
Firstly, Crytek posted a line said by Major Laurence “Prophet” Barnes on Twitter. Secondly, they posted a screenshot from the second game. Naturally, the fans don’t want a remaster. A next-gen Crysis game, on the other hand, that’s something the fans want to see. Hell, I think everyone wants to see a new Crysis title.
Will we see a brand new entry in the Crysis franchise? Or will Crytek just continue remastering all their previous titles? What do you think? Let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comment section down below!
