The first round of the Diablo II: Resurrected technical alpha starts this Friday with three classes and two first acts being available.
What Acts does the Diablo II: Resurrected alpha offer?
The technical alpha lets players enjoy a tiny bit of content. After all, it’s an alpha, the testing stage made to show the product in the roughest playable state achievable. But that won’t stop thousands of diehard Diablo II fans from praying tonight to get an invitation tomorrow.
Now, what does the technical alpha offer to the participants? Well, Act I and II and their respective bosses will be your playmates. Act I has you start off your adventure from the Rogue Encampment. In order to continue searching for the Dark Wanderer, you have to go east. Yet, the obstacle in the form of Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, stands in your path.
Then in Act II players visit the Jewel of the Desert, the city of Lut Gholein. This wealthy and stunning trading port hasn’t been the same since the Dark Wanderer visited the place. Now it’s home to dangerous evils and the Lord of Pain, the mighty Duriel.
The alpha offers only three classes
The Amazon, the Barbarian, and the Sorceress. An agile fighter capable of wielding spears, javelins, and bows. A savage fighter capable of taunting enemies and taking immense punishment while also dealing tons of damage. The master of elements, able to engulf enemies in flames or freeze them completely. Three classes with completely distinct play styles. Unlike the Assassin, Druid, Necromancer, and Paladin, these three classes are quite plain. Not to be confused with weak, as all three are capable of plowing through mobs and bosses alike.
A solid choice, and since there won’t be any level cap, everyone can enjoy farming these two bosses, over and over again until they spill every last bit of loot they can. Blizzard is sending out invitations tomorrow, so if you haven’t, go sign up for it.
You can also pick up the original Diablo II and its expansion, Lord of Destruction on HRK Game for a great price. Or if you like modern games more, Diablo III is available for cheap as well!
