A League of Legends MMO Is Coming
VP of IP and Entertainment of Riot Games stated that a League of Legends MMO is currently in the making.
Runeterra is a continent that is full of magical locations. Filled with all kinds of charismatic, complex, mysterious, and sometimes scary characters. Many compelling stories emerged from this universe. But, only through a MOBA game, League of Legends. Quite sad, since the potential of this universe is grand and immense. Yet, Riot Games haven’t done anything special to expand upon it. The Legends of Runaterra card game came out, but that isn’t nearly enough. Nevertheless, hope isn’t lost, as we finally get an official confirmation from Greg Street, the VP of IP and Entertainment, Riot Games. A League of Legends MMO is in the making. Will it be an MMORPG? Perhaps, for now, we know that it’s an MMO.
It is an MMO

Information, as you may assume, is scarce at the moment. We know that Riot Games are making a lot of games, some that share LoL’s universe, others that don’t. But a League of Legends MMO is a big undertaking. Thankfully, they are aware of that so don’t expect to hear any concrete details on this before I’m guessing 2022. Still, maybe Riot Games are able to create a refreshing and compelling MMO that doesn’t fizzle out in a year.
What do you think, can they pull off an MMO-style game or not? Let me know your opinions in the comments section down below!
