Because 2020 is officially the year of delays we find out that the Prince of Persia Remake got hit with a 2-month delay.
This is a standard issue for 2020. There are 8 delays that I reported this year, and that’s only a minor part of the actual number of delayed projects in 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 is the biggest suspect, but that is launching tomorrow so I guess it won’t be delayed anymore.
However, the Prince of Persia Remake is another victim of this horrible year. This shouldn’t surprise us anymore. The global pandemic is tearing through the world even now. The economy is decaying, the panic still hasn’t subsided, and working is almost impossible in some countries. But, making video games can be done from home. It’s hard, but it’s possible. The dev team addressed the delay on Twitter:

It isn’t all that bad. Considering how bad it could have been, a 2-month delay isn’t much. As long as the Prince of Persia Remake stays on one delay, we’re good. Then again, maybe 2021 is bound to be worse than 2020. I hope not, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is an excellent game and I have a lot of hope for the remake. A lot of people are excited to play this classic again. You can find out more about the remake on their official site.
